Musing Science is an educational app that helps people explore scientific ideas through explanations, metaphors, visual thinking, and curiosity-driven discovery.

Instead of simply defining a concept, Musing Science helps users uncover the patterns, structures, stories, and connections that make science meaningful.

The app includes three exploration modes:

  • Understand — uncover the core mechanisms behind a concept
  • Visualize — generate imagery, metaphors, and visual interpretations
  • Explore — discover unexpected connections and curiosity-driven pathways

Musing Science was inspired by over a decade of scientific storytelling and artwork created through the Biochemusing project.

Scientific Concepts and Prompts

When you use Musing Science, the scientific concepts and prompts you enter are transmitted to OpenAI’s services in order to generate explanations, visualizations, and exploratory content.

These prompts are used solely to provide the requested functionality of the app.

Musing Science does not store your prompts or generated results on its own servers.

Analytics and Tracking

Musing Science does not use advertising networks, behavioral tracking, or third-party analytics services.

The app does not track users across apps, websites, or services.

Data Security

Reasonable measures are taken to protect the integrity of the application and its communications. However, no method of electronic transmission or storage is completely secure.

Third-Party Services

Musing Science uses OpenAI services to generate content and visualizations. Information submitted to OpenAI may be processed in accordance with OpenAI’s privacy policies and terms.
